   Section 4 – First Aid Measures: 

Eyes Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids.  Get medical aid immediately
Skin Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.Get medical aid immediately.
Ingestion Do NOT induce vomiting.  If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.Get medical aid immediately.
Inhalation Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately.  If not breathing, give artificial respiration.  If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.Get medical aid immediately.

Containers should be dated when opened and tested periodically for the presence of peroxides.  All peroxidizable substances should be stored away from heat and light and be protected from ignition sources

 Section 10 – Stability and Reactivity:

Chemical Stability When exposed to the atmosphere, Sodium Amide rapidly absorbs H2O and CO2. When only limited absorption takes place, as in poorly sealed containers, peroxides are formed which render the resulting mixture highly explosive. The formation of peroxides is accompanied by the development of a yellow / brownish color. If discoloration is noticed, the substance should be destroyed at once by covering with much benzene, toluene, or kerosene and slowly adding diluted ethanol with stirring
